- Professional Information:
(1) –Program’s objectives:
- Provide the students with a wide background of knowledge in the different branches of basic science of Geology.
- Practice the students on Geological and other related techniques to qualify the students to design and carryout experiments.
- Habilitate the students to employ scientific facts and theories to collect, formulate, analyze, interpret practical and theoretical data, and to solve problems in scientific basis.
- Identify the role of Geology in society developments, and develop geological approaches that meet community needs taking into account economic, environmental, social, ethical, and safety requirements.
- Enhance students self – learning using information technology, risk management, organization of time, working in a team, and reviewing of a quality control processes.

- Attributes of the Geology: The graduates must be able to:
- Gain the essential knowledge in Geology.
- Have the practical skills, safety considerations, careful analysis, realistic conclusionand can think critically.
- Be able to work either independently or in groups and tackle challenging Problems in Geology.
- Practice the skills of oral and written communication in Geology.

Student graduates can be able to:
- Demonstrate the principles, procedures and techniques used in chemical analysis,characterization and structural investigations of different chemical compounds.
- Describe name of the processes and mechanisms supporting the structure and function of the specific topics.
- Describe the developmental progress to the program-related knowledge.
- Discuss the principles of thermodynamics and quantum mechanics including their applications in chemistry.
- Discuss the theories and methods applied for interpreting and analyzing data related to discipline.
- Explain the related terminology, nomenclature and classification schemes.
- Explain the related terminology, nomenclature and classification systems.
- Identify characteristics of the different states of the matter and elements including trends within the periodic table and the related theories.

Graduate must be able to:
- Anticipate the issues connected to the geological theories and concepts and principles for discussion and reading of the geological phenomena.
- Grow a circle of ideas as a solution of various geological problems and devise appropriate explanations for their occurrence.
- Apply theories and techniques to identify the appropriate theoretical or practical application.
- Evaluate the published geologic information.
- Conclude the basic concepts about mathematics, general physic, botany, zoology, and basic computer science.
- Analyze qualitatively and quantitatively science relevant data.
- Develop lines of argument and appropriate judgments in accordance with scientific theories and concepts.
- Construct several related and integrated data to confirm, make evidence and test theories.
- Pick apart the different methods employed in addressing subject related topics.
- Analyze geological data to key out and confirm geological structures as well as to determine the paleoenvironment of deposition.
